7digital What we said: We first fell for Carmarthen-born singer Cate Le Bon in 2008, when she leant her Nico-esque coo to Gruff Rhys’ Neon Neon project. Her subsequent two solo albums did little to quell our infatuation, and this year she’s picked up other influential fans in the shape of the Manics – who invited her to star on their latest album Rewind The Film – and the NME – who just tipped her as one of “the brightest and boldest young talents in the UK”. Her latest LP Mug Museum only serves to vindicate all the fuss, offering up 10 bursts of deeply melodic, quirk-filled folk-rock.
