Ibiza 2009

Summer is upon us. And what better way to kick it off than to make the modern day pilgrimage down to the dance mecca that is Ibiza? Just in time for the start of the season, why not indulge yourself in the multitude of legendary opening parties and take full advantage of those extended opening hours. Every string will have been pulled by promoters to ensure their party is THE party to remember for the season - which means big DJs, awesome sound systems and more theatrics than Broadway!

Most residencies remain the same as last year, with Privilege still notably holding Tiesto and Mauro Picotto’s Meganite, Pacha firmly rooted in all things house with help from David Guetta, Erick Morillo and Sander Kleinenberg, and Space welcoming the return of the literal giant, Carl Cox. Space will also host the infamous ‘We Love Sundays’ with an ever impressive line up and, for the first time, UK glamour cats, Hed Kandi. Amnesia, however, shows exactly why it won ‘Best Club in the World’ at the IDM awards this year, boasting Sven Vath’s Cocoon, Armin Van Buurren’s Armada in conjunction with Roger Sanchez’s Release Yourself, Cream, La Troya, Matinee and Made In Italy - a monstrous roster to say the least! Also, check out Azuli’s Secret Ibiza and the old Gala Night Zoo for some day time raving and for a taste of something more underground.
