Backed by a band that was probably the best group of musicians that he had worked with since The Beatles, McCartney dazzles with high-power performances that range from the anthemic "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be" to gutsy rock and roll like The Beatles'"Birthday" and a rousing version of Fats Domino's "Ain't That A Shame". With wonderful surprises like McCartney's nostalgic version of (fellow '60s Liverpool band) Gerry and the Pacemakers "Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying", TRIPPING THE LIVE FANTASTIC offers everything you could want from a live album.
