Hailing from Sheffield, England, the metalcore ensemble Bring Me the Horizon began with a strong death-metal/grindcore influence in the vein of British predecessors Carcass and Napalm Death. The group gained popularity--and notoriety--for its mercurial, controversy-courting frontman Oli Sykes, who also runs a clothing line, and dabbles in other musical projects. With its second full-length album, 2008's SUICIDE SEASON, BMTH moved in a slightly more accessible direction, even managing to crack the album charts in the U.K.
